Ceramic Handbuilding
Learn the basic techniques of hand built pottery including organic pinching, slabing, and coiling. Hand building is a way to create beautiful and sculptural pieces without the need of a potters wheel! You will use your hands and a few basic tools to create functional forms to use at home. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to complete up to two pieces. A small pinch pot bowl or mug and a larger vessel that can be used for single stem florals or taper candles. I will then take your pieces home and they will go through two firing process. A few glaze options will be provided that you can look at and feel on the day of the workshop. Your pieces will take about two to three weeks to complete after you have made them. You will be notified when they are ready for you to come and pick up at my studio or we can arrange for them to be delivered back to you!

I like to keep my workshops between five and ten people. It’s important to be able to spend one on one time with each participate and this can get a little tight with more than ten people. If you have more than that you are still welcome to reach out to me and we can see if we can make it happen!
